Dr. Hicks is Board Certified in Dermatology. In private practice for over 20 years, he has practiced in Ocala, Florida at Marion Dermatology since 1993. Professional organizations include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (Fellow), the Florida Society for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (Fellow), the Marion County Medical Society, and the Florida Medical Association.
Born in Coral Gables, Florida, Dr. Hicks grew up in Southern Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. He received his medical degree in 1992 from the University of Miami, where he then completed his Internship in Internal Medicine in 1983 and Residency in Dermatology in 1986.
Following private practice in Coral Gables, Florida and Jackson, Wyoming, Dr. Hicks relocated to Ocala, Florida where he resides with his wife and children.

Melissa is licensed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Her clinical preceptorships include Dermatology, Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, Psychiatry, Primary Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Emergency Medicine, Surgical ICU, Surgery and Endocrinology.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Memphis, and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Florida in 2004, Melissa joined Marion Medi-Spa in the fall of 2006.

Responsible for overall medi-spa management, Kelly is well-versed in our service and product offerings and ensures your experience with us will be both productive and memorable. Her individualized approach to client service opens the door for any questions or concerns you may have, and she will make certain you receive the answers you seek.
With an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Ridgewater College and an Associate’s Degree in Marketing Management from Central Florida Community College, Kelly moved to Ocala from Atwater, Minnesota to continue her passion for showing Quarter horses.
